Substitute Bus Attendant at Rapides Parish School District

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MEETING WITH TRANSPORTATION ADMINISTRATION FOR YOUR SPECIFIC DAILY JOB DUTIES.QUALIFICATIONS:As set forth in Rapides Parish StandardsBe at least 20 years of ageREPORTS TO: Supervisor of TransportationSUPERVISES: StudentsJOB GOAL: To assist the bus operator to provide a safe comfortable rideforhandicapped students.TERM: Nine (9) monthsSALARY: Bus Attendant Salary SchedulePERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Be on the school bus at all times during the bus route except as authorized by the Transportation DepartmentOccupy a seat on the bus where student riders can easily be assistedEnsure that required protective safety devices are in use and are fastened properly. (In instances when an attendant is not available this shall be the responsibility of the bus driver)Assist such students on and off the bus at school at designated bus stops and otherwise when it is necessary for their safe entrance and exit from the bus.
