B.032 Bus Driver FLSA STATUS: Non-ExemptQUALIFICATIONS: High School DiplomaCommercial Drivers License with P&S endorsementCPR CertificationMust pass annual physical alcohol and drug test and safety trainingArizona Fingerprint Clearance CardSuch alternatives to the above qualifications as the Governing Board may find appropriate and acceptableREPORTS TO: Transportation DirectorJOB GOAL:To provide safe and efficient transportation so that the students may enjoy the fullest possbile advantage from the districts curriculum and extracurricular program.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Obeys all traffic lawsObseves all mandatory safety regulations for school busesMaintains discipline when students are on bus by advising passengers of appropriate behavior and reinforces established guidelines for passenger safetyReports discipline problems to the proper authorityKeeps the bus cleanKeeps to assigned schedulePerforms pre-trip and post-trip inspectionsDischarges students only at authorized stopsReports all accidents and completes required reportPrepares other reports as requiredFuels assigned vehicleTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Ten-month employee. Salary and work year to be established by the Governing Board.
