Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition OverviewArchbishop Hannan High School, a Catholic, co-educational college preparatory institution, is seeking dedicated and responsible Substitute Teachers to support our faculty and students when regular teachers are absent. Substitute Teachers play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment, ensuring continuity of instruction, and upholding the values of the Hannan Way-Charity, Excellence, Faith, Family, and Integrity.ResponsibilitiesProvide classroom instruction based on lesson plans prepared by the regular teacher.Maintain a safe, respectful, and orderly classroom environment that reflects the values of a Catholic school community.Take attendance, monitor student behavior, and manage classroom routines effectively.Communicate and enforce school policies, procedures, and expectations.Adapt to different subject areas and grade levels as needed.Report any classroom issues or concerns to school administrationSupport the mission of Archbishop Hannan High School by fostering spiritual, academic, and personal growth in students.QualificationsMinimum of a bachelor's degree (education background preferred).Prior teaching or substitute teaching experience preferred.Strong classroom management and communication skills.Flexibility to adapt to a variety of grade levels and subject areas.Commitment to the values of Catholic education and willingness to support the school's mission.Completion of the Archdiocese of New Orleans Safe Environment training and background checks (required).Work ScheduleOn-call, as needed, during the academic year.Full-day and half-day assignments available.CompensationCompetitive daily rate, commensurate with experience.
