The internship provides an opportunity to showcase your abilities in one of our fast paced dynamic engineering groups that supports Development team for large load interconnection and generator interconnection projects. The internship will allow you to apply what youve learned through Electrical Engineering concepts and further enhance your knowledge through hands-on training and provide opportunities to network and learn with other interns across the organization.Job DescriptionKey AccountabilitiesAssist in the various Interconnection related functions such as development of Large Load Generator Interconnection planning models interconnection studies congestion analysis etc.Interact with internal stakeholders and various Transmission Owners/Independent System Operators gaining understanding of Large Load Interconnection Process and Generator Interconnection Process.Development of critical thinking skills and applying data analysis unique transmission interconnection problems.Assist in the Interconnection applications one-line drawings sizing of equipment develop internal tools for process improvementEducation Experience & Skill RequirementsMust be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. Students sponsored through Optical Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT) are NOT eligible for this internship.Current student enrolled in Bachelors degree program in Electrical Engineering Power Systems or a related field with GPA 3.0 or better.
