If you have what it takes to become part of the Vistra family and would like to start a promising career with a global leader take a look at the exciting employment opportunities that are currently available and apply online.Job SummaryLead develop negotiate recommend and implement the insurance requirements of the Company by identifying analyzing and measuring potential loss exposure and implementing optimal insurance solutions; lead the development implementation and management of an insurance captive; lead all activities to effectively and timely collect insurance claims; manage a large and well established surety program; develop and present materials both internally and externally; maintain strong relationships with the underwriter and broker community; manage and develop junior members of team; and perform other tasks as required.Job DescriptionKey AccountabilitiesLead develop negotiate recommend and implement all insurance coverages for the Company including property casualty cyber directors and officers and nuclear coverage linesDevelop implement and manage a captive insurance program for the CompanyPartner with our brokers to timely collect insurance proceeds in the event of a claimProcure insurance for new development projects and M&A activityPerform due diligence reviews of potential acquisitions from a risk and insurance perspective and provide insurance cost estimates as requiredMaintain healthy relationships with underwriting and broker community updating management on current trends and challengesCoordinate with Operations and Engineering to minimize adverse impacts of financial losses and implement recommendations from insurersWork with Planning to establish an annual insurance budgetReview and recommend changes in the Companys contracts to minimize liabilities from both an insurance and contractual perspectiveFormulate and modify strategy for the Companys insurance programManage and optimize the Companys surety bond program and provide Certificates of Insurance as requiredManage and develop junior members and/or risk and insurance internsPerform other duties and responsibilities as assignedEducation Experience & Skill RequirementsCollege degree or certifications with specialization in Risk and Insurance10 Years experience in Risk and InsuranceExperience with captive formation or managementKnowledge of a wide range of insurance policies and worldwide marketsProficiency in risk management practices and understanding risk financing programsExcellent verbal written and presentation skillsExperience leading projects and managing people Understanding of theories of legal liabilities and versed in State and Federal laws affecting insurance and claims preferredResults-focused and ability to work independently to drive projects to completionProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteKey MetricsStrengthen the organizations expertise and readiness to assess risk and implement insurance solutionsEstablish a standardized process for evaluating insurance coverage amounts and improve the quality of strategic decision-makingAchieve optimal results on all lines of coverage by individual program renewal datesImplement a captive program within the first twelve monthOptimize collection proceeds from previous incidentsMinimize the cost of collateral requirements to support surety and insurance programsEnsure timely delivery on requests for contract review and requests for Certificates of Insurance (COI)Develop the insurance team to expand team capacity to support growing activity level and accelerate responsiveness#LI-ND1#LI-HybridJob FamilyTreasuryCompanyVistra Corporate Services CompanyLocationsIrving TexasTexasWe are a company of people committed to: Exceeding Customer Expectations Great People Teamwork Competitive Spirit and Effective Communication.
