2026 Summer Camp Camp Medic Camp McCormick - This position may live on or off site.Locations: Camp Dean McCormick ILJob Duration: Summer May 26 June 27 2026Salary: $700 WeeklyApplication Deadline: Open until filled. Summary:Camp Medic is responsible for overall health and safety of camp staff and campers during our summer campprogram. The expectation is to provide an exciting fun and memorable experience for campers and staff. Also responsible forgeneral sanitation and safety practices throughout camp.Responsibilities:Participate in camper check-in process for health screening.Administer medication first aid and address camper health concerns.Take inventory resupply and maintain first aid equipment as necessary throughout camp.MonitorhealthofincomingcamperscollecthealthreviewsandisresponsibleforallmedicaldocumentationNotify staffmembersofhealthprecautionsofcampers(andstaff)whenindicated.Develop sound relationships with staff campers and parents as needed regarding medical care.Conduct daily checks of equipment for safety cleanliness and inventory.Assist in unit housekeeping sanitation care of supplies and equipment.Assist in supervision of campers to cover for other camp staffs breaks.Other duties as assigned.Required Skills and Experience:Be 21 years oldEMTnursingstudentRNLPNWFR/WFAorphysicianwithcurrentFirstAid/CPR/AEDcertificationsPhysical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aidUnderstandingofcurrentandupcomingmedicalknowledgetreatmentandbreakthroughsAbilitytomaneuverthroughcampwithoutassistanceandcarryupto50poundsExcellent communication skillsExperience in working with children preferredAdditionalRequirements:Be guided in all actions by the Girl Scout Mission Promise and Law.BearegisteredmemberofGirlScoutsoftheUSA(GSUSA)andhavepassedabackgroundcheck.MustaccepttheprinciplesandbeliefsofGirlScoutingandcomplywiththemostcurrentpoliciesproceduresandguidelinesofGSNIandGSUSA.CompleterequiredtrainingasassignedandprovidedbyGSNIandGSUSA.Required to attend:All check-in and check-outAll camp activities such as games campfire and special eventsAll meals including packouts in unitsHowtoApplyforMoreInformationTo complete an application or to view other positions please visit For additional information or questions please email GSNI Outdoor Program Manager Mary Zielinski at titled: GSNI Camp Staff: Job Title..
