Works independently with limited management direction and has direct responsibility coordinating the tasks of the custodial staff for their assigned areas of responsibility. Creates schedules assigns and reviews work. Assures that the interior of the facility is clean sanitary and safe and in compliance with infection control guidelines. Assures the grounds are clean and safe in compliance with safety guidelines. Hires trains and evaluates custodial staff. Maintains facility and janitorial supply inventories.Essential Functions: Manages and coordinates the activities of employees in the areas and shifts they are responsible for; determines work procedures and expedites workflow; assigns and reviews work for compliance and thoroughness. (15%) Prepares necessary and required reports. (15%) Sets unit goals and plan of action for achieving goals. (15%) Manages resources in a conservative responsible and cost-effective manner oversees the inventory of supplies and equipment and insures supply orders are placed in a timely manner. (15%) Edits custodial subordinate time cards makes necessary adjustments/corrections and approvals. (15%) Perform as a working supervisor for staffing shortages and filling in for absences. (15%) Regularly inspect and evaluate physical condition of facility; recommend painting repairs and replacement furnishings. (10%) Education:High School Diploma or GED Required Work Experience: Three years experience in custodial service operations required. Required and One year in a lead or supervisory role required.
