The Production Supervisor is also responsible for providing world class safe working conditions unyielding pursuit of employee and team development and the overall daily manufacturing effectiveness for the department.Position Key Accountabilities:Assist the Production Manager responsible for the operation of an assigned area in terms of production quality cost delivery technical safety and human resources.Responsible for the day-to-day management of people within production to ensure KT Pacers targets and objectives are met and meet customer requirementsEnsure that team members comply with health safety and standard operating procedures.Strive to continually improve using Lean tools to reduce costs improve production and qualityAct with minimum supervisionLead by example ensuring a safe and efficient workplace is maintained at all timesAchieve the required company quality standards ensuring both internal and external customer satisfactionEnsure that Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are monitored and targets achievedMediate and coordinate with support functions to advance issues concerning production planning and resource/skill allocation to ensure delivery of products to schedule within all relevant quality specifications.Communicate with team by delivering team briefs with a focus on safety quality cost and delivery and gathering ideas for improvementDrive performance of team members giving direction and feedback to aid good performanceEnsure that non-conformance is challenged and counter-measures are agreed and implementedSupport the implementation of engineering changes production trials model change and pilot buildReport and act upon plant or machinery breakdowns to maintenance techniciansSupport the resolution of Customer concerns. Identify and eliminate root cause using robust countermeasures. Sustain the corrective actions to eliminate repeat issuesEnsure all external and internal auditory standards and improvement requirements are metAll other duties & responsibilities as assignedDesired Qualifications and Experience Levels: Associates Degree or higher is preferredA proven track record within Manufacturing or Operations ManagementAbility to design processes and layoutsExperienced with ERP or operations management systemsExperience in welding / fabrication a plus.Ability to build effective relationships with work colleaguesAbility to sustain and develop team working and team-based problem solvingAble to achieve results by setting high standards and committing to clear objectivesAdaptable to change and varying situationsAbility to show resilience and a flexible approachFull understanding of design and production costs to include waste downtime scrap and re-workStrong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to establish logical practical solutionsStrong people and performance management skillsComputer literate with good numeric skillsFull understanding of customer expectations and deliverables with an awareness of the impact of failure/cost of poor qualityGood leadership & communication skillsStrong analytic / problem solving skillsMust be able to pass background and drug screeningFollowing receipt of a conditional offer of employment candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
