They are presented as model students of the subject. As such they present an appropriate mode to thinking organization and mastery of the discipline.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Provide technological academic and instructional support and training to students outside of class in weekly SI sessions for all students enrolled in a targeted course.Perform support role in SI sessions by duplicating class instruction and instructional materials which will require SI leaders to attend all class meetings take notes do homework and complete all assigned class material.Advertise and make class announcements about the SI sessions.Organize maintain and control lesson plans for each SI session to ensure students academic development.Provide opportunities for meaningful and engaging activities to process course material and develop study strategies.Attend orientation training each semester as well as all training courses and development sessions.Assist with administrative duties and data collection (attendance sheets student surveys planning sheets etc.).Report student issues with class instruction and instructional materials to instructors and SI Director.Maintain and model successful student behavior.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. The qualifications listed below are representative of the education experience knowledge skills and/or abilities required.EDUCATIONHigh school diploma or equivalent required.
