Department OverviewLeads global supply assurance processes for North America Mexico EMS.Plays key leadership role globally leading the Global Supply Assuranceprocess creation architecting and cadence adherence to the process.Establishes processes and procedures to ensure customer satisfaction withadherence to quality and best possible delivery. Interfaces with multipleinternal customers / external suppliers in order to provide the best possiblesolutions / delivery in order to support MSIs customers. Supports all efforts toreduce the number of shortages with lead time reduction buffer stock strategycontractual agreements. End to End experience in materials management is alarge advantage to this role as they need to interface/influence up and downthe supply chain internally and externally.Job DescriptionLeads and participates in Supply Assurance reviews with the Category Managers and Executive teams. Must be able to communicate upward effectively.Leads without direct control but through influence and respectDiagnosis supply systematic failures and constructs solutions across the organizationCreates linkage from shortage root cause and corrective action to long term preventive actions such as safety stock new sources ectUnderstanding of key supply commodities such as semiconductors castings plastics and electronic / mechanical assembliesUnderstands those key products impacting each business key Customers and what is preventing our suppliers from buildingDrives each gating item to resolution with both the Purchasing teams Category Teams Suppliers Engineering and Exec teamsLooks at all possible options to resolve including: Distribution Alternative suppliers Expedited freight etcUnderstands current Lead-Times and what the long pole is for our key suppliers drives to reduce these Lead-timesWorks with the Business Teams to understand both short and long-term forecasts and the communication to the teams.Participates in driving potential alternate suppliersUnderstands key shortages impacting our customersDrives overall shortage MetricsProvides training to sites on escalation guidelines monitoring to make sure the teams are following the guidelinesEffectively communicates long-term supply concerns drives solutionsWork hours must be flexible / Must work across different time zonesOcassional travel to MexicoAdditional Qualified Skills:Proficiency in EnglishAdvanced Excel skills PowerPoint/ Google Docs experience is plusExperience in Oracle and/or SAP is a Depth knowledge of how ERP systems and supplier collaboration work is keyLeadership skills and traitsEffective communication with all levels of managementAbility to multitaskHistory or experience leading process architecture new processesAdditional experience in Supply Chain / Materials /Warehousing /Inventory/Planning /Production Control will be a plus.Bi-Lingual in Spanish would be a plus#LI-MM4#LI-HYBRIDBasic RequirementsBachelors Degree5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles (category management experience).Travel Requirements10-25%Relocation ProvidedNonePosition TypeExperiencedReferral Payment PlanYesOur :Incentive Bonus PlansMedical Dental Visionbenefits401K with Company Match10 Paid HolidaysGenerousPaidTime Off PackagesEmployee Stock Purchase PlanPaidParental & Family Leaveand more!EEO StatementMotorola Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
