We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace defense and space industries. We are looking for a Supply Chain Intern to join our growing team.POSITION DESCRIPTIONThis position is on-site in Sedro-Woolley Washington State.Interns are college students who work for Janicki Industries to obtain work experience in varying disciplines. They work during a college break e.g. summer break for a duration of 10-12 weeks (minimum commitment of 10 weeks).ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:The primary responsibility of the Supply Chain Intern is to assist with the understanding of storage requirements needed for upcoming following essential job functions performed are:Assist buyers with creating and maintaining purchase ordersCommunicate with suppliers to confirm pricing lead times and order statusGather and compare supplier quotes to support sourcing decisionsHelp resolve issues related to incorrect deliveries pricing discrepancies or documentation needsMaintain purchasing records supplier information and system dataAssist planners with reviewing material requirements and upcoming production needsSupport planning activities such as expediting materials reviewing forecasts and coordinating with internal teams.Completes assignments given by the respective assigned mentorPerforms other duties as assignedBeing at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of your jobQUALIFICATIONSDue to our ITAR and EAR regulations applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEMust be currently pursuing a Supply Chain Management bachelors degreeSAP experience preferredMust have the ability to multi-taskMust be able to work well independently and under pressure meeting and completing multiple deadlinesMust possess effective oral and written communication skills in the English languageADDITIONAL INFORMATIONWage range for this role is between$24 - $26an hour plus a discretionary bonus 401(k) matching vacation and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts off-site work and access pay. The range provided is Janickis estimate of the base compensation for this role.
