JOB DESCRIPTION

Supply Chain Specialist

This role is crucial in providing exceptional customer support to both internal and external clients by executing departmental objectives and tactical plans aimed at corporate business growth. The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for ensuring timely and complete shipment of customer orders while addressing service issues and customer concerns effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage timely and accurate order processing for the Region Commercial Team, directly communicating with account buyers.
  • Perform daily audits of open orders, researching and rescheduling orders from previous days.
  • Review orders for completeness and accuracy, obtaining necessary information and approvals before shipment.
  • Schedule dock appointments and maintain them within the scheduling application.
  • Manage delivered orders through the in-house Transportation Department.
  • Coordinate with various managers to ensure product requirements are received and understood.
  • Determine the need for substitutions or date changes based on projected shortages.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and support sales personnel.
  • Review aged inventory and discontinued items at bottling operations and co-packer locations.
  • Maintain requirements in customer vendor sub-systems.
  • Review pricing discrepancies using SAP T-Code and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Communicate with management to correct EDI errors and update customer files.
  • Assist with invoice management to resolve payment discrepancies, communicating solutions to customers.
  • Manage returns, damage claims, and complaints, ensuring appropriate personnel are assigned to action items.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators.
  • Participate in team initiatives for continuous improvement.

Essential Skills:

  • 1 or more years of experience in a supply chain-related role.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management, customer service, and order management.
  • Experience with SAP, purchasing, inventory, and data entry.
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel (VLOOKUP and reporting).
  • Experience in business-to-business, manufacturing, order management, and supply chain.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work well under pressure and independently.
  • Problem resolution skills and adaptability to change.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing company with purchasing or order entry experience.
  • Strong communication skills for building customer relationships.
  • Ability to work with spreadsheets and vendor management systems.

Work Environment:

The role is primarily onsite with the potential for one remote workday once permanent. It operates in a cubicle-style office environment with a relaxed business casual dress code. Interaction with customer procurement is mostly via email, with some phone calls. The role involves 85% of orders through EDI with occasional order entry. The team enjoys a collaborative culture with activities like lunches, birthdays, and ping pong. There may be rare travel opportunities for client visits, which are not mandatory.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tampa, FL.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
