Supply Chain Technician at TFC Poultry

TFC Poultry recently expanded and opened our second poultry production plant in Winchester, Virginia, as such we're currently hiring for our Supply Chain Technician. The Supply Chain Technician will report to the Logistics Coordinator and will manage the day-to-day details of logistics and supply chain to accurately and timely reflect the inbound and outbound supply chain. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Coordinate and track inbound and outbound freightMaintain existing carrier relationships as well as build new carrier relationshipsWork closely with the sales and production team to schedule trucks so they arrive as needed to our customers and to the plants as well as resolving shipping issues when they ariseResearch direct carriers and rates for potential opportunity and savingsServe as backup and support to Logistic Coordinator and other Supply Chain Team MembersBe able to be on a call after hours on a rotation schedule basisSource and purchase spot buys of production and maintenance supplies, oversee stock inventory replenishment ordering and inventory management, and maintain relationships with suppliersSupport supply chain planning team with order entries and confirmations using ERP systemAnalyze supply chain and logistics data to drive continuous improvement is cost savingsPromote personal and company image throughout the communityOther responsibilities as neededEducation and Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a prior logistic roleMust be proficient in Microsoft Office and ExcelKnowledge of ERP and TMS is preferred but not requiredBenefits:75% Paid Employee and Dependent Health InsuranceDental/Vision Insurance3% Matched 401k RetirementPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysFrequent Company LunchesLong Term Disability$25,000 Term Life InsuranceWork boot ReimbursementApply now to join the TFC Poultry family!PandoLogic.
