Support Staff also assists the supervisor in overseeing projects such as periodic deep cleanings of participant areas assisting with clerical tasks and providing input on ways to improve team the absence of administrative staff Support Staff also processes EBT payments and assists participants with account concerns.Job Responsibilities:Monitor common areas and individual housing units to ensure the safety security and cleanliness of the facilityProvide support services to program participants as assignedEnsure the safety and security of the Transitional Housing Program throughout the overnight shiftIntra-Agency collaboration and communicationTransitions Department and Team Support**This posting is for an overnight shift and may include weekends. This position is located at our Downtown Campus.**RequirementsSkills and Knowledge:Ability to work independently with little supervisionMay work nights/weekends and holidays depending on assigned shiftKnowledge of general safety proceduresDependable and responsive to available on-call hoursPreferred experience in a social advocacy roleEducation and Experience:High school equivalencyMinimum of 1 year as a Sponsors Support Staff (day shift) and be in good standing; -OR-3 years experience providing direct support services in a social services agency.Candidates without Sponsors experience may substitute 1 year of direct support experience with certifications or higher education in addiction counseling human services or mental health field.Work Environment:Shared common office desk or workstation and office equipmentMulti-building campus with participant housing and common areasOccasionally working in refrigerated or freezer area to store and retrieve food itemsShift assignment may require overnight facility oversight and participant interactionsMay encounter individuals experiencing distressPhysical Demands:Walking up and down stairsSitting for extended periods of timeWalking and standing indoors and outdoors in changing climatesAbility to carry up to 25 lbs. up and down stairsWe have two campuses differentiated primarily by male-identifying and female-identifying participants. Due to the sensitive nature of some position duties preference for gender alignment of staff with program participants may be considered when necessary. We will consider gender demographics only for the purpose of assignment to a campus and not any other form of discrimination according to law.
