DescriptionEnsure the temple reflects the beauty cleanliness and sacred nature of the temple experience.Maintain standards established by the First Presidency.Train motivate and supervise a crew of full and/or part-time custodians or volunteers.Assist in custodial work to assure that church buildings are clean and orderly at all times.Typically responsible for up to 40000 square feet.Typcially supervises a crew of up to 8 employees.ResponsibilitiesSupervise a crew of custodians by interviewing prospects providing training creating schedules assisting in performance management and assigning individual tasks.Make decisions under the direction of the manager on proper equipment techniques chemicals and maintenance of church buildings.Maintain discipline performance and morale among custodians.Monitor physical condition of all areas and reports maintenance and repair needs to manager.Initiate orders for custodial supplies and stay within budget.Perform custodial work including but not limited to: vacuuming dusting mopping; cleaning kitchen/cafeteria restrooms carpets and upholstery; and washing windows.QualificationsTwo to four years of custodial maintenance or related experience.Experience working in a temple is preferred.One to two years of supervisory experience.Thorough knowledge of important aspects of custodial maintenance including custodial supplies and cleaning chemicals.Familiarity with applicable health and safety regulations.Degree or certification in custodial maintenance or related field preferred.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs/23 kgs.
