Chief of Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery Division, Associate or Full Professor of Ob/Gyn Clinician EducatorLocation: Philadelphia, PAOpen Date: Oct 31, 2025Deadline: Oct 31, 2027 at 11:59 PM Eastern TimeThe Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. This role will also serve as Chief of Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery Division. Expertise is required in the specific area of minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS). Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates must be board certified and trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology and have formal fellowship training in MIGS. Rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.We are seeking a Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) surgeon with a strong interest in education and leadership to join our expanding practice and lead our Division of Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery. Teaching responsibilities may include training and supervision of Ob/Gyn residents and medical students with plans to start a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery. Interest in educational leadership is highly desirable. Faculty appointment is available at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.Clinical responsibilities may include gynecologic care and minimally invasive surgery. Our growing practice provides multidisciplinary care of patients with complex conditions such as: *Fibroids and abnormal uterine bleeding, *Chronic pelvic pain and endometriosis and *Abnormal placentation and complex ectopic pregnancies. The MIGS surgeons at Penn Medicine provide expertise in multiple surgical modalities such as laparoscopy, robotics, and operative hysteroscopy.Research or scholarship responsibilities may include basic, translational, clinical and/or health policy research. Collaborative science is highly valued. Applicants should have an established research program and an outstanding record of publications.The new Chief of the Division of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery will join a cadre of surgeons at Penn Medicine who are nationally known for their surgical expertise, research, education and innovation. This position is a unique opportunity to start a new division with devoted faculty, working closely with colleagues within the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology who are at the forefront of the field. Preference will be given to candidates with scholarly experience and leadership/development in MIGS.
