Breast Surgeon Opportunity Mercy Health Perrysburg Hospital (Perrysburg, OH)Join a Mission-Driven Health System Building Excellence in Breast Oncology CareMercy Health Perrysburg Hospital is actively recruiting a Fellowship-trained Breast Surgeon who is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery (ABS) and passionate about delivering comprehensive, patient-centered breast cancer care. This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in the continued development and expansion of a thriving multidisciplinary Oncology Program within one of Ohio s largest healthcare systems.As a dedicated breast surgeon, you will have the support, mentorship, and robust clinical infrastructure to provide high-quality care to the Northwest Ohio community. Mercy Health is committed to building a strong and sustainable breast surgery program rooted in collaboration, innovation, and excellence.Position Highlights:Outpatient Focused Practice: Provide comprehensive breast surgical care in a well-established ambulatory oncology setting, including in-person and virtual visits.Surgical Expertise: Perform outpatient and inpatient breast procedures, surgeries, and inpatient rounding.Consultative Services: Provide inpatient consultations and participate in post-operative call coverage as needed (low call burden).Education & Teaching: Actively engage in resident education through didactics, clinical instruction, rounding, and journal clubs. Direct involvement with General Surgery residents.Leadership Opportunity: Eligible to serve as Medical Director for the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), helping lead quality improvement and program growth initiatives.Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Breast Navigators, Genetic Counselors, Dietitians, Social Workers, and APCs to provide holistic patient care.Practice & Schedule Details:Weekly Schedule:2 clinic days (starting at 7:30 8:00 AM)3 surgical days per weekWillingness to provide post-op call coverage as needed5 8 hour workdays with occasional extended hours based on patient/call needsSetting:Primary location: Mercy Health Perrysburg HospitalMay support nearby hospitals based on market need100% adult and geriatric populationReferral-based practice with established volumesComprehensive Cancer Center Onsite:Includes 5 Medical Oncologists, 2 Radiation Oncologists, and multiple Advanced Practice ProvidersAncillary services include Breast Oncology & Imaging Navigators, Genetics, Nutrition, and Behavioral HealthAccess to multidisciplinary tumor boards and breast cancer clinicIdeal Candidate:Board Certified in General Surgery (ABS)Fellowship-trained in Breast Surgical OncologyDedicated to teaching and mentorship of surgical residentsPassionate about multidisciplinary care, community involvement, and program developmentInterest in clinical leadership and continuous quality improvementWhat We Offer:Competitive compensation and full benefits packageRelocation assistance and sign-on bonus availableRobust onboarding and mentorship supportOpportunity to help shape the future of breast surgery care in the regionA mission-driven, collaborative environment focused on serving the community with compassion and excellencePassionate about multidisciplinary care, community involvement, and program developmentInterest in clinical leadership and continuous quality improvement
