Department OverviewColumbia Memorial Hospital in collaboration with Oregon Health & Science University are seeking a general surgery leader to join our Astoria Oregon group of experienced surgeons who provide general surgery care to patients in a community setting.Function/Duties of PositionGeneral Surgeon leadership opportunity at Critical Access Hospital on the Oregon Coast while having an affiliation with the state of Oregons only academic medical center.Clinical Associate role with a balanced mix of dedicated OR and clinic time.Collaborative established relationships with surgeons oncology providers radiologists pathologists hospitalists and primary care providers1:4 General Surgery call while maintaining prompt offsite availability.Growing and financially strong organization.Required QualificationsDoctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited medical school.Board Certification or Board Eligible in General SurgeryActive unrestricted Oregon Medical LicenseDEA CertificateAdditional DetailsCompensation and BenefitsGuaranteed base salary with annual quality incentives plus a Medical Director stipend.Hiring incentives including commencement bonus and relocation.Annual CME stipend with paid educational leave.Paid time off paid holidays and sick time.Comprehensive benefits including retirement plan options with employer matching contributions.About Columbia Memorial HospitalCMH is the fastest growing rural hospital in Oregon serving the healthcare needs of the northern Oregon coast with a collaborative relationship with Oregon Health & Science University.
