Use your passion to drive the MedVet experience for our clients and patients as well as your teammates.We are looking for:Surgery Veterinary TechnicianOur Surgery team is a fast-paced environment perfect for technicians that are looking for training in multiple facets of the department and interaction with the other teams in the hospital. This team requires strong communication skills to liaison between surgeons and clients and deliver post-operative care instructions.What youll do:Manage appointments obtain patient histories medical record keeping invoicing patient discharges etcFill medications enter charges and maintain accurate medical records schedule appointmentsCreate patient releases navigate client conversations around treatment plans and financial obligationsPrep patients for surgery including shaving scrubbing and positioning assist with intubation and radiographsProficiently perform blood draws and submit bloodworkEnsure documentation is accurate and completeOpening turning over and cleaning operating rooms as well as cleaning instruments and wrapping packsWho are you:State Registered Veterinary Technician license preferredPrior veterinary experience required previous surgery experience desiredProficient in calculations (drugs constant rate infusions unit conversions etc.)Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessaryAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills Come as you are.
