You will instrumental in ensuring a safe surgical experience through technical support for exposure hemostasis and wound closure.Every day you will collaborate closely with the surgical team performing duties under the guidance of the operating surgeon circulating nurse and reporting to your designated Team Leader. This involves a range of assigned tasks to support the surgical process effectively.To be successful you will demonstrate exceptional technical proficiency in assisting the surgeon maintaining acute awareness of the surgical field and patient safety.Assists with positioning the patient provide application of surgical antiseptic solution and draping the patient in a standardized sterile fashion.Under physician supervision may be expected to open and close surgical sites harvest grafts assist with hemostasis dissect and remove tissue insert devices alter tissue and other such procedures as requested.Provide assistance in securing drainage systems to tissue and applying appropriate wound dressing.Under professional supervision may be expected to perform specific significant tasks which includes applying and removing splints/casts placing foley catheters and administering local anesthesia.Sign-on Bonuses up to $20000 AND Education Assistance (student loan payoff) up to $24000 for eligible hires and positionsJob RequirementsRequiredOther Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program upon hire andOne year of surgical technician experienceBasic Life Support - CPR upon hire andCertified Surgical First Assistant NASC upon hire orCertified Surgical First Assistant upon hire orCertified First Assistant - Certified Surgical Technologists upon hirePreferredOne year Surgical Assisting experience and Key Skills Aseptic Technique,Hospital Experience,Acute Care,Anatomy Knowledge,Basic Life Support,Computer Skills,Physiology Knowledge,Military Experience,Suturing,Medical Terminology,Sterile Processing Employment Type : Unclear Experience: years Vacancy: 1
