JOB DESCRIPTION

Pride Health is currently seeking candidates for Surgical Tech that will provide support for our client's healthcare systems in Hermiston, Oregon. This is a contract assignment with a high likelihood of extension and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Description:

Job Title: Surgical Tech

Location: Hermiston, Oregon

Schedule: 40 hours/week

Shift: Days

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Pay Range for Traveler: $2,300.00- $2,366.00 Weekly DOE

Job Summary

Assist in operative and invasive procedures by preparing and maintaining sterile instruments and supplies, ensuring a sterile field, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team throughout the procedure.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and organize sterile supplies & instruments
  • Function as scrub person during procedures
  • Assist with sterile draping
  • Pass instruments and supplies during surgery
  • Perform surgical counts with RN circulator
  • Ensure sterility and take corrective action if needed
  • Prepare sterile dressings
  • Clean and prepare instruments for decontamination
  • Assist with post-procedure room cleaning & setup
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Participate in ongoing education & competency verification
  • Float to qualified departments before core staff is floated
  • Support hospital mission, policies & procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned


Required Certification & Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 Years of Surgical Tech experience required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (required)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • CST certification (preferred)
