Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced and qualified Sushi Chef to organize and execute sushi preparation activities. You will be second in command, ensuring a high degree of attention to detail and guest satisfaction.Ultimately, you will help us retain our reputation as a renowned sushi bar to increase our clientele.Responsibilities:o Manage inventory levels for a wide range of raw fish and other ingredientso Prepare all types of sushi including nigiri, sashimi, & handrollso Acute attention to detail in the food preparation process, mastering quality controlo Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standardso Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-workersRequirements:o Japanese cuisine experienceo Ability to listen to and facilitate special requests from our clientso Exceptional and proven sushi workspace management abilityo Strength in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progresso Outstanding communication skillso Ability to create a positive, fun, and exciting environment by interacting with our clientso Up to date with culinary trends and sushi preparation processeso Safe Food Handler’s Certificationo Degree in Culinary science or related certificate not required, but a plus!
