Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: DOE plus tipsOur restaurant needs an experienced Sushi Chef to join our team. You will prepare sushi rolls and dishes from the sushi bar. Our ideal candidate is comfortable with a variety of sushi rolling, plating, and related cooking techniques and has experience working in a busy sushi restaurant. Advanced knife cutting skills and Fish Butchery are a must. We expect our sushi chefs to be friendly and interact with customers, providing recommendations on different dishes when requested.Sushi Chef Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare raw fish and other sushi ingredientsRoll and plate dishesMaintain a clean and safe workspaceCoordinate with wait staff to ensure an efficient flow of ordersRegularly take sushi bar inventoryMaintain a stock station for service as well as next day set upLearn restaurant techniques and preparationSushi Chef Requirements and Qualifications2 years minimum as sushi chef (Only applicants with experience will be considered)Culinary arts education and training (preferred)Cooking and sushi-making experienceFood handler's cardKnife skillsCommunication, time-management, and organizational abilitiesBenefits:A friendly, fun, positive work environmentMedical, Dental, & Vision plan options available for part time and full time Team MembersHoliday Premium: hourly employees who work on an observed holiday will be paid 1.5x their hourly wage401k, company matched contribution
