Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition: Systems Repair Technician Location: Seneca Falls, NY Shift: 2nd Shift - 3:30pm-12:00am Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required plus technical associate program Experience: 4+ years of experience is required Summary: Install, maintain, diagnose, and perform preventative maintenance and repair for all plant electrical/electronic systems including related pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, sonic, chemical and optical components. Such systems would include: Machine tool controls, communications, motor control and other plant/office equipment of a complex nature using electronics. In order to perform above, this would include performance of mechanical assembly/disassembly of any components such as Servo Valves, schematics, manuals, records and graphs in addition to the making out of regular forms, reports and requisitions. Visit and attend training offered by the major manufacturers of ITT/Gould’s major plant systems, to stay abreast of latest system operation repairs and efficiencies. Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Position Responsibilities:Troubleshoot and maintain electrical and mechanical systems.Incorporate and include task list of Mechanical Maintenance Machine Shop A.Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions for assembling electronic unit, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components.Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, working with manufacturers or field representatives as necessary to procure replacement parts.Test electronic unit, using standard test equipment, and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment.Adjust or replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry or electronic components using tools or soldering iron. Assemble, test, or maintain circuitry or electronic components, according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, or knowledge of electronics, using hand or power tools.May train new employees.Follow relevant work instructions and/or SOP.May be required to operate industrial trucks (fork trucks, propane trucks, etc.) Position Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent is requiredTechnical associate program or 2 years of electronics school is required4+ years of experience in construction or related industry to become familiar with mechanical and electrical equipment and repair techniques is required
