Tableau Developer II for Western Alliance Bank – Phoenix, AZ Job Description: Deliver production responsibilities and execute projects for the bank's portfolio reporting and analytics function, including insightful reporting through Tableau. Create and manage Tableau content, validate dashboard content using SQL queries, and interface with business customers in a development and support capacity. Manage documentation, train business users, and create and maintain Tableau write-back extensions and Tableau extracts. Integrate efficiencies with technology and applications used to deliver information and reporting to customers within the bank. Develop and maintain critical portfolio management information and provide reports and operating performance metrics. Effectively apply high-level technical knowledge to fulfill complex business and financial projects, including software knowledge of the Tableau development lifecycle that encompasses data preparation and visualization, dashboard execution, and the creation of Tableau extensions. Manage a pipeline of reporting and process-related projects, and identify and eliminate roadblocks to execute them within the designated time periods. Serve as the point of contact to internal customers for ad hoc extracts and provide support for assigned areas of responsibility. Utilize various DataMart's to assess business line performance, trends, and key performance indicators (KPI), along with leading indicators to efficiently and coherently measure opportunities and risks in a useful and actionable framework. Responsible for communication with the manager, team, and customers to keep them apprised of project status. Position allows remote work one day per week and reports to the corporate headquarters at One East Washington Street, Suite 1400, Phoenix, AZ 85004. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer and Information Science or a related field. Requires 3 years of experience. Must have experience in each of the following skills: Tableau; Alteryx; Power BI; Git; SQL; and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) ETL and relational databases.
