Talent Acquisition Specialist
The Talent Acquisition Specialist manages the full lifecycle recruiting process for entry-level to mid-level roles and other positions as assigned. This role partners closely with hiring teams to understand business needs, develop effective sourcing strategies, and deliver a seamless, high-quality candidate experience. The specialist uses a blend of proactive and creative recruiting methods to attract top talent while ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle recruiting process from open requisition to offer stage, including job specification and development, prescreening and qualifying candidates, interviewing, and negotiating offers.
- Recruit for entry-level to mid-level positions and support additional roles as assigned.
- Collaborate with hiring teams to understand functional hiring needs and translate them into effective passive and active sourcing strategies.
- Review resumes, portfolios, and credentials to assess skills, experience, and knowledge against position requirements.
- Source, screen, and shortlist qualified candidates, and present them to appropriate hiring teams in a timely and organized manner.
- Understand candidate requirements and provide compensation guidance to the business to successfully negotiate and close candidates.
- Develop and deliver strategic recruiting plans with internal stakeholders to attract and hire top talent.
- Communicate proactively and regularly with hiring managers and candidates to ensure a seamless and transparent recruiting experience.
- Act as the liaison between candidates and management throughout the hiring process, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Seek out candidates who add value to the organization and maintain regular contact with potential future candidates for pipeline development.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with candidates to ensure a high-quality candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Develop and maintain a network of professional contacts to help identify, source, and engage talent.
- Collect, interpret, and review interview feedback with hiring managers to support informed hiring decisions.
- Ensure that all recruiting activities comply with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
- Stay informed about cutting-edge advertising and recruiting opportunities, recommending participation when appropriate to capitalize on talent acquisition opportunities.
- Develop promotional materials and content to support staffing and recruitment initiatives.
- Conduct proactive research on industry competitors and maintain familiarity with local and regional talent pools.
- Leverage online recruiting resources and platforms to identify and engage top talent.
- Use creative recruiting methods, including internet sourcing, print advertising, job fairs, university and vocational school outreach, and other channels.
- Participate in college recruitment activities such as information sessions, on-campus interviews, and career fairs.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with colleges, universities, community organizations, and professional associations to generate qualified applicants.
- Research, analyze, prepare, and present internal staffing trends and retention strategies to support workforce planning.
- Develop and execute staffing strategies across a variety of levels, including support for senior and executive placements as needed.
- Streamline and enhance staffing systems, tracking, reporting, and analytics to improve recruiting effectiveness.
- Lead sourcing and recruiting initiatives that leverage networking and employee referrals.
- Manage aspects of college relations and support various sourcing and internship programs.
- Coordinate relocation, immigration, and other staffing administration responsibilities as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to candidates and internal stakeholders throughout the recruiting process.
- Support onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- Perform other recruiting and staffing duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 25 years of recruiting or staffing experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience managing full cycle recruiting from requisition opening to offer acceptance.
- Considerable skill in interviewing techniques and candidate assessment.
- Advanced knowledge of proactive recruiting techniques and sourcing strategies.
- Understanding of human resources principles and practices.
- Knowledge of personnel policies and procedures.
- Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations related to hiring and discrimination.
- Ability to develop and execute staffing strategies for a variety of levels, including higher-level placements.
- Experience using online recruiting resources to identify and attract talent.
- Proficiency with office computer software and systems, including MS Office, Word, Excel, and requisition/candidate tracking systems.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and proactively anticipate the needs of the business.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
- Ability to interact and build relationships with individuals at all organizational levels.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.

Work Environment
This position is 100% onsite in Bedford, OH. The role operates in a fast-paced, high-volume office environment that requires frequent interaction with hiring managers, candidates, and other internal stakeholders. The Talent Acquisition Specialist uses standard office technology and tools, including MS Office applications and requisition/candidate tracking systems. The work involves regular collaboration, meetings, and participation in recruiting events such as job fairs and campus activities, which may occasionally require travel to local colleges, universities, and community venues.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bedford, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
