*Work with Progression, Inc. get your application bumped to the front of the line* Tax Accountant Rockville, MD Pay From: $100,000 Per Year MUST: Experienced Tax Accountant 5+ years of public accounting experience Strong audit + tax background Expertise preparing complex returns (Partnerships, Corporations, Individuals, Estates, Trusts, Non-profits) Ability to perform tax research and document findings Hands-on experience with audits, reviews, compilations, and agreed-upon procedures Skilled in internal controls, financial analysis, and forecasting Strong understanding of GAAP, GAAS, and common audit procedures Ability to prepare and review workpapers + financial statements with footnotes Proficiency with accounting/tax software and Microsoft Office Excellent communication skills (written + verbal) Strong organizational and prioritization skills Reliable, accurate, and professional in client interactions CPA REQUIRED Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field DUTIES: Prepare complex tax projections and tax returns for various entity types Conduct tax research, document findings, and support client advisory work Perform diversified accounting and auditing assignments under manager/partner direction Deliver services including audits, reviews, compilations, financial analysis, forecasts, budgets, and internal control studies Prepare routine client correspondence for partner approval Train and support junior staff; contribute to building team capability Review and prepare workpapers, financial statements, and disclosures Engage with clients to develop strong, long-term professional relationships Ensure all work meets firm quality standards and regulatory requirements Manage multiple assignments while meeting client deadlines *Progression Inc. is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
