The ideal candidate will work with a dynamic finance team to perform a variety of tax functions including tax planning, compliance, and SEC reporting. He/she is responsible for meeting all filing tax deadlines and reporting requirements accurately. The candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. This position will be a member of the Finance team in the company's headquarters located in San Jose, CA.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The Responsibilities Will Include, But Not Limited ToAssist tax provision preparation and related disclosures in financial statements in accordance with ASC 740Assist compliance reporting for Federal and State income tax (including estimates and extensions) to ensure all reporting obligations are filed accurately and timelyCompute book-tax differences; prepare supporting tax return work paper and documentationPrepare State apportionment, States payments tracking and reconciliationPrepare other local taxes, annual reports filings, POAResponsible SOX tax documentation controlsMaintaining tax calendarCoordinate and support tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities.Prepare responses to tax notices and liaise with external tax advisors and auditorsConduct research on complex tax issues and provide recommendationsStay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the companyIdentify and communicate tax planning opportunities to managementAssist in other tax projects and initiativesQualifications:BA/BS in Accounting, Finance and related field, Master of Taxation is preferredCPA is required5+ years of tax experience with public accounting and industryStrong knowledge of US Federal tax laws, as well as US GAAP and accounting principlesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of managementExcellent research and writing skillsExcellent Excel skillsSalary Range$107,000 - $131,000The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
