JOB DESCRIPTION

Tax Associate

Gerber Kawasaki is one of the fastest-growing and most influential independent wealth and investment management firms in the country. We are seeking a Tax Associate to support our tax department by preparing tax returns and providing overall tax-related support. We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively with both clients and management. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to grow with a well-established, diverse, and expanding company.

This role is 100% in-office, 5 days per week

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
  • BA/BS in Accounting
  • Experience with Lacerte preferred
  • Experience preparing and reviewing returns for C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, LLCs, trusts, and individuals
  • Ability to communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals and clients
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based tax databases
  • Experience working collaboratively across teams and departments
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency, commitment, and reliability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Salary: $75,000+ depending on experience (DOE)
