Salary:$125,000 starting and negotiableThe OpportunityWe’re looking for a strategic, forward-thinking Tax Manager to lead and grow our tax team. This is a key leadership position for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical expertise, client advisory, and operational excellence. This is a full-time remote role, and the right person will be included in decision-making as part of the leadership team. Tax preparation and tax review experience is highly neededWhat You’ll Do ✅ Lead and mentor a high-performing team of tax professionals ✅ Oversee complex tax compliance and planning engagements for businesses and individuals ✅ Collaborate with legal and accounting / Fractional CFO counterparts to deliver holistic client solutions ✅ Manage and grow client relationships through proactive tax strategy and advisory ✅ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws – with a sharp eye for planning opportunities ✅ Develop and implement scalable workflows and technology integrations (we use Ignition, Karbon, and more) ✅ Stay ahead of tax law changes and advise both clients and internal teams accordinglyWhat We’re Looking ForCPA or EA is not necessary, but one must be able to obtain rapidly2+ years of progressive tax experience, ideally in a public accounting or multidisciplinary environmentStrong leadership and people management skillsExcellent communication – you can explain complex tax concepts in plain EnglishStrategic mindset with a hands-on approachComfortable working in a fast-growing, tech-forward, collaborative environmentSomeone who has worked extensively with a workflow/practice management tool like KarbonWhy our client ✔️ Innovative ABS structure combining law, tax, and accounting ✔️ Entrepreneurial leadership and room to grow ✔️ Fully remote work environment ✔️ Competitive compensation and benefits ✔️ Team-oriented culture with real impactBenefits10 days PTO (increasing each year)10 paid holidays13 paid Fridays off (May - July)Reasonable working hours (average 50 during busy season)Medical, dental, vision, short-term life, disability401(k) with match
