Tax Manager - CPA or EA - Hybrid! Location: Henrico area of Richmond, VAPosition OverviewWe are a reputable CPA firm seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Manager with CPA or EA certification to join our team in a hybrid work environment. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with tax regulations, providing strategic tax advisory services, and managing client relationships effectively.We are looking for a Tax Manager that can review and sign returns. There will be a leader of the office already in place. We are a smaller team and expect candidates to work onsite during busy season and then more hybrid. We are looking for proven experience in tax review and consulting for individual, corporate, and partnership clients.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and manage all aspects of tax compliance and reporting for individual and corporate clientsConduct thorough tax planning and research to provide strategic advice to clientsEnsure adherence to IRS regulations and stay updated on changes in tax lawsPrepare and review financial statements and tax returns to ensure accuracy and complianceConduct audits and reviews of tax filings and financial reports as neededCommunicate effectively with clients to address their tax-related inquiries and provide guidanceDevelop and implement tax strategies that align with clients' financial goalsCollaborate with other departments to ensure integrated tax planning and complianceQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldActive CPA or EA certification is requiredMinimum of 5-8+ years of experience in public accounting, tax, and taxationStrong knowledge of IRS regulations and tax lawsProficiency in financial reporting and auditingProficiency in UltraTax, Practice CS software, or CCHEffective communication and interpersonal skills for client interactionAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects in a hybrid work environmentBenefitsBase salary: $120,000 to $140,000 DOE 401(k)Flexible scheduleHealth, Dental, Vision experience PTOSign-on bonus potentialPerformance bonus  - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
