We’re on a mission to make alternative asset investing more accessible while maintaining top-tier compliance and client service. With rapid growth projected to continue (35–40% annually), we’re looking to build out our in-house tax and compliance function as a key part of our next phase of expansion.The OpportunityWe’re seeking a Tax Manager or early-stage Tax Director to build and lead our in-house tax services function. This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of the process, develop a new business unit, and grow quickly into a senior leadership role.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage all aspects of tax preparation and compliance for the firm’s various entities and clientsOversee filings for Form 990, 1120, 1065, and related returnsManage tax research, planning, and compliance across multiple business entitiesCoordinate with internal finance, operations, and legal teams to ensure accuracy and complianceEvaluate and improve tax processes and internal controlsHire and mentor future tax staff (interns, staff-level roles) as the department growsWork closely with executive leadership to develop tax strategy and identify new revenue opportunities within the tax services unitQualificationsCPA license required4–8+ years of tax experience in a public accounting firm or corporate tax departmentStrong familiarity with Form 990, 1120, and general IRS processesExperience in small or midsize firm environments preferredDesire to take ownership and grow into a director or VP-level roleExcellent communication and leadership skillsCompensation & BenefitsBase salary: $120,000–$170,000+ depending on experienceBonus potential: Performance-based, with the opportunity for significant upside based on success metricsRelocation assistance available for the right candidate if not remoteComprehensive benefits packageWhy Join Us?This role offers the rare opportunity to build something from the ground up — shaping a new in-house tax department for a high-growth, entrepreneurial financial services company.
