Job DescriptionJob DescriptionA leading wealth management firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its Tax & Financial Planning team. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing complex tax engagements, overseeing staff, and providing strategic tax planning for high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners.The Tax Manager will prepare and review complex individual, trust, estate, and entity tax returns; lead and mentor tax staff; and serve as a trusted advisor to clients. This position partners closely with the firm's financial advisors to integrate tax insights into holistic financial strategies.Key ResponsibilitiesLead tax planning and compliance for high-net-worth clients, including individuals, estates, trusts, and passthrough entities.Prepare and review complex income tax returns and ensure timely, accurate filings.Advise clients on proactive tax strategies and evolving tax laws.Supervise, mentor, and review the work of tax associates.Collaborate with wealth advisors to align tax and financial planning goals.Manage client communications, audits, and correspondence with tax authorities.Contribute to business development and client relationship initiatives.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, or Finance.CPA required; CFP® preferred.10+ years of experience preparing complex returns for high-net-worth individuals and families (estate, trust, etc.)3+ years of supervisory experience.Experience with passthrough-entity taxation preferred.Proficiency with Axcess Tax, Bloomberg Income Tax Planner, and Canopy; familiarity with MoneyGuideElite or Holistiplan a plus.This is an opportunity to work with sophisticated clients in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment that values expertise, initiative, and long-term relationships.
