Tax Manager - Cincinnati, OH (Hybrid)

A CPA-certified tax professional with at least five years of public accounting experience and two years of managerial experience is needed to manage complex tax compliance work, identify planning opportunities, lead client communication, and develop staff while overseeing workflows and deliverables. This full-time hybrid role is available immediately in Cincinnati, OH (hybrid schedule, 23 days per week in office).

The role aims to support a growing tax practice by providing expert guidance, exceptional client service, and leadership across diverse industry engagements. The Tax Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing their compliance needs, anticipating tax issues, and identifying planning opportunities. This role includes leading and reviewing complex engagements, supporting ASC 740 work, building strong client relationships, and mentoring tax staff and seniors. Ideal candidates are confident leaders who enjoy problem-solving across diverse industries such as manufacturing, technology, professional services, and health/life sciences.

Key responsibilities include managing client engagements and overseeing preparation and review of complex tax returns, solving tax challenges for clients across multiple industries, serving as the main client contact, handling communication, deadlines, and deliverables, providing informed review of tax provisions and ASC 740-related work, leading, mentoring, and developing staff in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating exceptional client service and project management capabilities, and utilizing strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills to support client and team success.

Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's preferred), an active CPA license, minimum five years of public accounting experience, including at least two years in a managerial role, a strong background in C-Corporation taxation, a general understanding of partnership taxation and partnership equity investments, ASC 740 / tax provision experience a plus, and a strong understanding of client businesses and industries.
