Job DescriptionJob DescriptionFull-time Tax ManagerAbout the PositionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax and accounting, with 4 to 9 years of relevant work experience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage complex tax projects, provide expert advice to clients, and contribute to the growth of our tax practice.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee a diverse portfolio of client tax engagements, ensuring high-quality service delivery and client satisfactionProvide expert tax advice and planning strategies to clients across various industries and tax jurisdictionsPrepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entitiesConduct thorough research on tax laws, regulations, and rulings to stay current with changes and developments in tax legislationIdentify tax-saving opportunities and develop innovative solutions to minimize tax liabilities for clientsLead and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance on technical tax matters and professional developmentCollaborate with other departments and service lines to provide comprehensive solutions to clientsManage client relationships, including regular communication, addressing concerns, and identifying additional service opportunitiesParticipate in business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentationsEnsure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and quality control standardsStay informed about industry trends and best practices in tax managementQualifications and RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree in Taxation preferredCPA certification required4 to 9 years of progressive experience in tax planning, compliance, and consultingStrong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulationsProficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., CCH ProSystem fx, GoSystem Tax RS, Lacerte)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExceptional communication skills, both written and verbalDemonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing teamsAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly ExcelPreferred Skills and ExperienceExperience with international tax planning and complianceKnowledge of industry-specific tax issues (e.g., real estate, manufacturing, technology)Familiarity with tax automation tools and data analyticsExperience with mergers and acquisitions tax planningStrong project management skillsActive involvement in professional organizations (e.g., AICPA, state CPA societies)If you are interested, please apply, or contact Leigh Dehmer at [email protected] Opportunity Employer StatementWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourage applications from all qualified individuals.
