Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.Tax Specialist II: Estimated annual base pay: $72,000(minimum) - $93,000(midpoint) - $115,000(maximum)Sr Tax Specialist: Estimated annual base pay: $85,000(minimum) - $110,000(midpoint) - $136,000(maximum)The following benefits are available to all members:All members included in annual cash bonus opportunity.401(k) match (4.5%)Annual Woodward stock contribution (5%)Tuition reimbursement and Training/Professional Development opportunities for all members 12 paid holidays, including floating holidays.Industry leading medical, dental, and vision Insurance upon date of hireVacation / Sick Time / Vacation Buy-up / Short Term Disability / Bereavement leave.Paid parental leave.Adoption AssistanceEmployee Assistance Program, including mental health benefits.Member Life & AD&D / Long Term Disability / Member Optional LifeMember referral bonusSpouse / Child Optional Life / Optional AD&D / Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible SpendingVoluntary benefits, including:Home / Auto Insurance discountsWhole Life Insurance / Critical Illness Insurance / Legal Assistance / Military LeaveTax Specialist IIKey Responsibilities:Use tax software and digital tools (Excel, Alteryx, Power BI, etc.) to compile data, calculate, and prepare workpapers for review.Prepare corporate income tax returns, calculate estimated payments, and compile provision components.Participate in tax research, analysis, and training: A Tax Specialist II in Finance is responsible for conducting basic tax research to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations and engaging in purposeful training to stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations.Supporting tax audits: A Tax Specialist II in Finance is responsible for assisting with tax audits and providing supportive analysis.Apply understanding of business operations to assess tax implications and support internal stakeholders.Key Skills:Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.Capable of setting priorities effectively and performing boh independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Possesses knowledge of continuous process improvement and automation methodologies, with proven skill in their implementationBasic knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including an understanding of basic tax research tools and techniquesSr Tax SpecialistKey Responsibilities:Use tax software and digital tools (Excel, Alteryx, Power BI, etc.) to compile data, calculate, and prepare workpapers for reviewPrepare and review corporate income tax returns, estimated payments, and provision componentsSupport tax planning and forecasting efforts, including preparation and review of tax forecasts for corporate accountingIdentify process improvement opportunities and implement identified efficiency enhancementsParticipate in cross-functional projects and support tax-related auditsResearch tax issues and assist in developing and implementing solutionsServe as a resource for all team members and contribute to knowledge sharingApply understanding of business operations to assess tax implications and support internal stakeholdersKey Skills:Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilitiesExperience managing priorities, leading projects, and mentoring junior staffSkilled in identifying process improvements and applying lean methodsComfortable collaborating across teams and presenting to all organizational levelsBasic knowledge of tax risk and mitigation strategiesSuccessful Candidates Typically Have:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or JD preferred2-5 years of corporate tax or public accounting experienceSolid understanding of U.S. GAAP and corporate tax principlesProficient in tax compliance, provision, and research software; ONESOURCE experience a plusAdvanced Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with ERP systems, and general digital toolsApplication window is anticipated to close 14 days from original posting date.This information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position.
