With a mission to honor God by making more disciples for Jesus Christ, Wooddale has a rich history and a future of sharing the gospel locally and globally by planting churches, supporting global partners and serving its local community.OVERVIEWWe are looking for a creative and Christ-centered associate to join our 5-6 Grade Ministry team. This is an opportunity for an individual to build and grow in their ministry experience, personal development and spiritual formation. If you desire to teach, counsel, lead and play, all under a veteran minister’s insight and empowerment, then this is the job for you. RESPONSIBILITIESStrategically plan, coordinate, implement and lead student ministry events as assignedHelp to equip and train volunteer leaders for student ministry to use their unique gifts and passions to serve within the mission and vision of Wooddale Church and the 5-6 Grade MinistryAttend training sessions and planning meetings with other area youth leadersCreate a personal development plan and be accountable to the personal development planInitiate active involvement in relational student discipleship by attending student-focused events, outside of regular ministry times (e.g. extra-curricular events, etc.)Assist with content and teachings for weekly programs and other key ministry initiativesShare leadership of ministry camps, retreats, and activities geared toward shepherding students in their spiritual journey with ChristAttend weekly ministry planning meetings, training sessions and Student Ministries Team activitiesMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree (or anticipated graduation within one year)Experience working or volunteering in a large student ministry or college ministry setting (100+ students) strongly preferredTraining, education, or degree that provides experience in student ministry strongly preferredGood communication and interpersonal skills; a love of people and commitment to ministry as service to God and the Wooddale familyAbility to relate to 5-6 grade students and familiesSubscribe to and affirm the Statement of Faith and serve as a representative of Wooddale ChurchEvidence of a commitment to Wooddale Church’s Mission Statement, honoring God by making more disciples for Jesus ChristBe a regular participant in public worship at Wooddale ChurchBecome or remain a member in good standing of Wooddale ChurchRELATIONSHIPSReports to the 5-6 Grade PastorWorks in close partnership with the NextGen, and Discipleship teamsEXPECTED HOURS OF WORK & TRAVELThis position regularly requires flexible hours (holidays, weekday, weeknight and weekend work) and the ability to travel to all campuses and off-site programs, as needed.BENEFITS & COMPENSATIONWooddale Church offers a comprehensive benefits package for all 40+ hour full-time employees, which includes opportunities to elect Medical (30+ hour full-time), Dental, Life/AD&D, HSA, Flex, LTD, optional Vision, optional Life/AD&D, optional STD, a Health & Wellness Plan and a 403(b) retirement plan with company match and immediate vesting. Estimated compensation range for this role is $41,000 - $48,000 depending upon qualifications and experience. PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and use hands to use office equipment effectively. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and move objects weighing up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision for reading documents and computer screens. Frequent bending, walking and talking abilities during student programming.
