Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPreschool Service Teacher Aide II PositionJoin us and make a difference with preschool children as a Teacher's Aide II. We have Teacher Aide II positions for the San Bernardino County Head Start locations. San Bernardino County is the largest county in the United States; we have availability and we are recruiting for most of the 37 sites. This position pays $20.97 per hour and follows a school year calendar. The work week is primarily 40 hours per week except for holidays and scheduled in-service days.A Teacher’s Aide II substitute helps a lead teacher in a variety of functions, and may include observing, supervising and planning activities such as participating in storytelling and art projects. There are additional duties within an organized and educational childcare environment. This role will require a great deal of patience and the ability to help preschool children in a positive, responsible and nurturing manner.We are seeking candidates with excellent work ethics, a nice energy level and effective communication skills. Mandatory Educational Requirements for Level II:Associate degree (or Higher) in Child Development or Early Childhood Education. An Alternate degree may be substituted if you have 6 credit units in Child Development or Early Childhood Education coursework and are enrolled in a Child Development or Early Childhood Education program.ORAn Associate Teacher Permit from the CTC/California Teacher Credentialing Commission (or higher)This position will require our candidates to submit and pass a background screen, a drug screen and a Live Scan (paid for by employer). TB & Immunizations (Measles and Pertussis), a San Bernardino Food Handler Card, Child Development coursework and the California mandated court reporter certificate must be submitted before actual employment begins.The position is compensated at $20.97 per hour with benefits. The typical schedule is 40 hours per week working Monday-Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm.
