Our goal is to make sure all children have the social emotional and academic skills they need to learn grow and realize their potential.About The RoleThe Teacher Aide assists the Center Director Lead Teacher Associate Teacher or Assistant Teacher and assumes responsibility for childrens general supervision development and education.What Youll Be DoingAssists in planning preparing and implementing the daily program.Assists in planning and preparing the learning environment and preparing needed materials and supplies.Assists in the Desired Results process.Assists in maintaining the environment in a clean safe manner.Assumes responsibilities for regular parent communication as directed by a supervisor.Always works with an Associate Teacher Teacher Master Teacher or Center Director.Assumes general responsibility for the health safety and well-being of all children in the agency.Supports Volunteers as requested.Attends meetings as requested.Participates in activities that further own professional growth.Maintains confidentiality of children families and employees.Works as a member of the agency team by promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.Greets children parents staff and guests as needed.Assists other centers when requested.All other duties as assigned by the Master Teacher or Center Director.Preferred qualificationsGED/HS DiplomaBilingual Spanish/EnglishPrior experience in working with young children preferred.Immunization records that comply with Senate Bill 792 (immunity for measles pertussis and influenza)Required to be a mandated abuse reporter6 ECE units requiredAdditional RequirementsMust pass a health screening and TB testMust pass background fingerprint clearanceValid Driver LicenseMust be 18 years or olderThe ability to lift up to 30lbs may be needed during some job dutiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functionsPerksAn opportunity to improve real lives solve hard problems and change the worldFriendly supportive and adventurous environment with a team of engaged colleaguesA comprehensive industry-leading benefits packageOpportunities to connect with and learn from colleagues and partners around the worldDrug-Free WorkplaceWe believe every employee has the right to work in an environment that is free from all forms of unlawful discrimination.
