Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSummaryWe are currently interviewing and hiring energetic, creative, and loving teachers, assistants, and aides to join our teaching team as soon as possible.This position is pool-based and will remain open. Positions include infant, toddler, preschool (age 2.5-4), and PreK (age 4-5) rooms.This position is specifically for a Teacher Assistant. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday and around 8:00-4:30 PM. We offer a predictable and routine schedule weekly. The ideal candidate should:Have a passion for creating a nurturing, safe, and supportive learning environment that is stimulating and conducive to learningHave a love for children and the desire to make a difference in their livesMaintain a commitment to professionalismHave a strong desire to work collaboratively with a talented team of diverse teachers and administratorsWe look forward to hearing from you!DutiesDuties Include:Collaborating with Lead Teacher to implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate curriculum that follows the standards for Washington State Early Learning and Development GuidelinesCommunicating with families both verbally and in writingActive engagement with students and participation in classroom activities at all timesEstablish and enforce rules of behavior for children in their classroomsProvide basic needs for childrenDevelop and maintain positive relationships with children and parentsManage classroom activities including lessons, play, breaks and mealsTrack childrens’ progress and report to parentsMaintain a clean and tidy classroomEncourage children to interact with each other to develop social skillsProvide appropriate supervision for children at all timesAdhere to health/safety and sanitation proceduresRequirementsPreservice requirements:Be at least eighteen years old;Have a high school diploma or equivalent;Create an account with MERIT Workforce Registry: https://apps.dcyf.wa.gov/MERIT/Home/SignInRegisterClear department background checkA negative TB symptom screen and negative TB risk assessmentCPR Certification a MUSTRequired after hiring:Bloodborne Pathogen, and Frist Aid Training;STARS Child Care Basics course;Food Handlers PermitSafe Sleep, Families Experiencing Homelessness, Emergency Preparedness, Mandated Reporter, Abusive Head Trauma trainings (provided on site)Country Acres Orientation Training (provided on site)BenefitsApproximately 5-10 paid vacation days off per year for full time employees -- we also offer paid holidays, professional development days, and PTO accrual.Competitive salary $16.66-18/hourly commensurate with education and experienceOpportunities for promotion and advancementContinuous classroom support and dedicated education administrators
