Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time role involves supporting school-aged learners across an itinerant caseload, traveling between multiple schools within the county to provide specialized instruction.

What we're looking for:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
• Experience providing instruction to students who are visually impaired, preferably in a school or educational setting
• Strong understanding of adapted curriculum and assistive technologies for students with visual impairments
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a flexible, travel-based schedule across several locations
• Outstanding communication and collaboration skills when working with students, educators, and families

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative services to students who are visually impaired, adapting teaching methods and materials to their individual needs
• Serve a school-aged caseload, traveling to different sites throughout the county
• Collaborate closely with school staff to implement accommodations, modifications, and accessibility tools
• Conduct functional vision assessments and support the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide training to staff and caregivers on effective strategies and technology use to support student learning
• Maintain accurate documentation and consistent communication regarding student progress
