Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
• Previous experience working with school-aged students with visual impairments
• Strong organizational and time management skills to support a flexible, multi-site schedule
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with educators, families, and support staff
• Passion for promoting independence and inclusion for students with visual needs

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction, support, and resources to students with visual impairments across a range of schools within the county
• Assess students' needs and adapt curriculum materials appropriately
• Develop, monitor, and update IEPs in close collaboration with school teams
• Offer consultative services to classroom teachers on best practices for inclusion
• Travel between schools as part of a county-wide itinerant team
