As a Teaching Assistant, you will assist the classroom teacher with classroom duties and instruction. Your goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and give students the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and passionate about teaching!Responsibilities:Assist students individually and in small groupsSupervise students in the classroom and elsewhere in the schoolEnforce classroom rules and proceduresMaintain accurate and up-to-date student recordsCommunicate with parents and school personnel as requested by the head teacherQualifications:Associate Degree or CDA requiredPrevious experience as a teaching assistant is preferredUnderstanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom managementKnowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsEnergetic and positive attitudeAbility to pass a background check
