Position OverviewSEEM Collaborative is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Paraprofessional to join our Middle School Program. The ideal candidate will support the classroom teacher in implementing instructional activities and individualized education plans (IEPs) while fostering a safe inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.QualificationsHigh School Diploma required; Associates or Bachelors Degree preferredExperience working with children with special needs strongly preferredAbility to lift pull or push up to 40 lbsAbility to move quickly between standing and floor positionsWillingness to work with students who may exhibit verbal and/or physical aggressionSuccessful completion of fingerprint and CORI screening requiredResponsibilitiesAssist the classroom teacher in delivering instruction and implementing students IEP goals and objectivesSupport the safety and well-being of students across all environmentsEncourage and facilitate student independence social skills communication and appropriate behaviorAssist in the inclusion of students with special needs in mainstream settingsCollect and record data as directed by the teacherParticipate in ongoing professional development and training opportunitiesProvide personal care support as needed (e.g. toileting self-care)Supervise students during non-classroom times such as lunch recess or transitionsPerform additional duties as assigned by the classroom teacher program principal or executive directorAbout SEEM CollaborativeSEEM Collaborative is committed to providing high-quality educational programs and services that promote the academic social and emotional growth of all students.
