Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition OverviewTo support the Summit Bechtel Reserve through exceptional facility care, logistical coordination, and residential services that enable safe, clean, and welcoming environments for all programs, participants, guests, and staff.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise Base Camp staff and assign daily tasks for cleaning, prep, and operationsMaintain supply inventory and report shortages to the Base Camp DirectorEnsure staff training, productivity, and adherence to safety proceduresLead team in power washing, sanitizing, and stocking restroomsCoordinate setup and breakdown of Base Camp HQ and seasonal officesInspect outdoor facilities for cleanliness, readiness, and proper maintenanceSupport arrival/departure operations and resolve team issues as point of contactModel the Scout Oath and Law in daily interactionsMaintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat, and safe work areaPerform additional duties assigned by SBR leadershipAbide by policies and procedures outlined in the SBR staff handbookQualificationsMinimum age: 18+Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to obtain Summit Driving PermitWilling to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communicationPhysical & Practical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and hike up to 8 hours daily and ability to lift/move up to 70 poundsComplete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelinesHousing: 10'x12' platform tent in Staff Camp | Uniform: Summit Staff Uniform | Work Hours: 45-55Desired TraitsHigh emotional intelligence (such as self/social awareness and team dynamics)Positive and cheerful attitude with a strong customer-service focusAdaptability in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn/develop hard and soft skillsAbility to connect with individuals from diverse age groups, maturity, and backgrounds
