  • Responsible for leading the Onboard Dining Billing analysts to perform analysis and ensure accurate payment of catering invoices for all stations.
  • Ensure timely processing of invoice payments, exception billings and reconciliations as well as performing ad hoc analyses to verify caterer billings using OPA, Coupa and AirVision (AV) in adherence of contractual month close dates. 
  • Help drive special projects which can assist leaders in the organizations to make key decisions.
  • This role is a part of the Onboard Dining Service team within our Flight Service group.

What you'll do

  • Responsible for broadening the current cater billing audit tactics / procedures to ascertain accurate payments
  • Auditing the accurate scheduling of caterer labor codes
  • Performing data cost analysis for changes in Food and Service footprints
  • Generating footprint unit cost analysis as per the Design team request 
  • Generating product volume and caterer bid forecasts supporting our Procurement team 
  • Serving as a liaison with our IT and CAE teams in terms of route/cause analysis for AirVision billing issues  
  • Tracking the sold to boarded activity for our for-sale product offerings and providing a reporting tool supporting decision making on provisioning or sales performance 
  • Tracking / reporting on international meal overprovisioning for awareness, pursuing corrective action plans and cost recovery per our contractual terms.
  • Provides regular updates, insight, and recommendations on programs to Leadership
  • Oversees AirVision (AV) billing of all domestic and international caterers
  • Acts as security administrator for AV Finance module
  • Coordinates AV CE activities with Operational team
  • Oversees new facility set up and maintains/updates billing discount, port fees and taxes rate record in AV; AV price maintenance for all caterers based on input from Purchasing and Onboard Dining Services
  • Performs system testing for any CAE AV release
  • Acts as liaison with AA Accounts Payable and Treasury department to support new vendor set up and billing system questions
  • Conducts group and/or individual training sessions
  • Occasional travel as necessary

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
  • 3+ years of related work experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel/Access modeling skills

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Master's degree in relevant field

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Superior analytical skills with an understanding of current cater pricing structure and AirVision billing operational codes
  • Knowledge of AirVision specification, ingredient scheduling and menu footprints for bid, volume, and unit cost analysis 
  • Adaptability and flexibility in the use of analytical approaches pertaining to financial issues
  • Capacity to assimilate, synthesize, and analyze, large volumes of data and build robust data models, draw logical conclusions, and present recommendations
  • Excellent teamwork skills, with proven ability to work effectively in a variety of situations and ability to influence change
  • Ability to accept ownership, responsibility, and accountability of functional obligations
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work well with little supervision, and manage several projects simultaneously
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and of software programs used in extracting data and conducting quantitative analysis (Cognos, BI, SQL, Oracle, Databricks etc.)
  • Ability to create and deliver PowerPoint presentations to all levels within the organization including Vice President and above
