Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary: Title - Inventory Control Specialist & PFC Analyst (Team Lead)Position: Full Time - SalariedLocation: Richmond, VA - Spruance Plant - US BasedPosition SummaryWe are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist & PFC Analyst to oversee our plants inventory accuracy and cost performance. This role is responsible for leading the monthly inventory counting and reconciliation process, managing a small team, and driving continuous improvement in inventory accuracy and plant fixed cost (PFC) reductions. In addition, the role functions as an in-house financial analyst, providing insights that guide plant leadership on cost-saving opportunities, financial acumen training for plant associates and efficiency gains.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Oversight- Lead and manage the Inventory Control team, including the PDAs and provide guidance for the MES Coordinators.- Provide direction, coaching, and support to ensure accurate execution of all inventory control processes.- Establish clear goals and performance measures for the team.- Foster collaboration across operations, finance, and supply chain functions.Inventory Control & Reconciliation- Oversee the monthly physical inventory count process across plant assets.- Ensure reconciliation of physical counts with ERP/MES records, resolving discrepancies quickly and accurately.- Maintain compliance with company inventory policies, SOX requirements, and internal control standards.- Monitor cycle count program performance and implement corrective actions to drive accuracy.- Partner with MES Coordinator to ensure accurate system transactions and real-time reporting integrity.Plant Fixed Cost (PFC) Analysis & Reporting- Develop, track, and report on monthly PFC metrics (labor, maintenance, utilities, overhead).- Conduct variance analysis and identify root causes for cost fluctuations.- Partner with plant leadership to implement cost-saving initiatives and efficiency projects.- Provide financial insights and dashboards that highlight opportunities for cost improvements.- Support accounting in distinguishing between capital vs. expense items tied to asset improvements and maintenance.Cross-Functional Support & Process Improvement- Act as the in-house financial analyst for plant operations, supporting leadership with data-driven decisions.- Lead or contribute to Lean, Six Sigma, or cost reduction initiatives.- Drive process standardization between PDA and MES functions to improve efficiency and reporting.- Serve as a liaison between plant operations, finance, supply chain, and corporate accounting teams.Qualifications- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or related discipline.- 35 years of experience in inventory control, cost analysis, or plant finance (leadership experience preferred).- Strong understanding of manufacturing inventory systems, GAAP, and cost accounting principles.- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and MES environments.- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; experience with BI tools preferred.- Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills.- Manufacturing or process industry experience required.Key Competencies- Leadership: Builds and develops a team culture focused on accuracy and accountability.- Analytical Skills: Turns complex data into actionable insights for cost improvement.- Attention to Detail: Ensures integrity in reporting and reconciliation.- Collaboration: Works across functions to drive results.- Continuous Improvement: Proactively seeks opportunities to reduce cost and improve efficiency.DuPont-Aramids is an equal opportunity employer.
