Team Lead Machinist Position Summary:Seeking Team lead with a minimum of level three machinist experience. Level Three Machinists operate 2-5 axis CNC machines and conventional mills and lathes to produce complex aerospace parts demonstrating advanced cross training flexibility including first part run and full machine recovery. Employee must be able to complete complex setups on 2-5 axis machines apply advanced blue print and GD&T reading to complex production inspection processes. Level three machinists will also be able to edit programs and write simple programs to make tooling. This role will have leadership and training responsibilitiesPrimary Duties & Responsibilities: Positionsparts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints. Operates manual or automatic assembly machines to assemble bump crimp knurl slot insert stamp groove cut etc. or resize or re-work parts to specifications Operates support machines such as arbor drill press cutters rollers etc. as well as various hand tools such as pliers wrenches Check parts for dimensional accuracy use both touch and precision measuring instruments such as micrometers Provides necessary counts andprocessesdocumentation accurately. Maintains production logsRequired Skills:Full CMM setup and operationIntermediateproficiencyin print reading and digital model manipulationAdvanced competencies in mechanical inspection techniquesComputerproficiencyinrequired software (MS Suite CATIAPC-DMISetc.)Required Experience:Typically this position requires evidence of success in level three machining duties for at least one year with previous formal or informal leadership and/or training responsibilitiesA minimum of 4 years of experience as a CNC Machinist requiredLevel of Education:GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.
