Technical Associate, Product Innovation (Vape, Concentrates, Specialty products) at Green Thumb Industries

The RoleAt Green Thumb, continuous innovation is a key focus area as we seek to create the best product experiences for our consumers. As the Technical Associate, Product Innovation - Vape, Conc, Spec you will play a critical role in bringing our innovation strategy to life within our vape and concentrates categories, with a focus on scaling proven innovations across our full fleet of markets. This role requires strong project management skills, collaborative execution, exceptional attention to detail, and strong technical knowledge of extraction methods, oil specifications, and vape hardware components, as we seek to deliver products that both delight our consumers and strengthen our market position.This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days per week in our Chicago office. You will also be asked to travel to our production facilities on a periodic basis (~1x/quarter).ResponsibilitiesSupport new-to-world product launches, assisting Technical Manager, Product Innovation - Vape, Conc, Specialty with key tasks and deliverables throughout the product launch processLead market expansion projects throughout the entirety of the product launch process, inclusive of launch timelines, risk assessments and reporting of performance metricsDemonstrate fluency on highly technical extraction processes and both oil and hardware specificationsExtrapolate highly technical product data and specifications to inform overall product and project plansDrive the packaging artwork development process for all market expansion projectsManage all packaging workflows through our internal quality control systemLead the development of any market-specific formulations and/or packaging structures, due to regulatory restrictionsCollaborate with Brand and Regional Marketing teams to drive clarity on timelines and deliverables, enabling smooth and successful product launchesWork directly with our production sites to ensure operational readiness ahead of launchUnderstand all state-specific regulations impacting both formulations and packagingQualifications1+ years of EITHER: 1) Cannabis lab/R&D experience - with a focus on extraction OR 2) Cannabis/nicotine vape hardware development experienceStrong technical knowledge of extraction methods, oil specifications, and vape hardware components; must be able to participate in highly technical conversations with both internal and external stakeholders and translate technical details effectively to cross functional partners and downstream production teamsDemonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities and projects simultaneouslyStrong detail orientation and organizational skillsAbility to navigate ambiguity and remain focused and positive amidst shifting prioritiesAbility to collaborate with and influence project stakeholders across different cross functional departmentsStrong product acumen and cannabis knowledgeStrong understanding of project management methodologies; formal certification like PMP a plusProficiency with basic Microsoft Office required; proficiency with project management tools, including Microsoft Suite, MS Project, etc., a plusAdditional RequirementsMust passany and allrequired background checksMust be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industryMust possess valid driver's licenseMust be a minimum of 21 years of ageMust be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry#LI-HYBRIDThe pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.Green Thumb Pay Range$85,000—$100,000 USD
