The selected candidate must live within commuting distance of Washington D.C and be able to work in the office on a regular full-time basis.RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage and administer data collection tools used by a federal agency and develop new configurations as new requirements ariseDevelop using tools such as Power BI Python database objects ETL scripts and SQL queries to extract information from data sets.Administer federal customer Confluence collaboration spaces to incorporate a logical architecture that reflects the federal customers work and manage permissionsCollaborate with stakeholders project managers and technical staff to identify business requirements create user stories with acceptance criteria design and estimate timelines and costs and facilitate reportsTake initiative in recommending application enhancements and improvementsParticipate in the quality assurance process to ensure features and functions have been enabled and optimized to meet stakeholder requirementsCoordinate user acceptance testing activitiesDevelop training content for and provide user training sessions on the use of collaboration tools and web-based data collection applications. Training sessions will be both one-on-one and classroom styleTest features of the tools identify any potential issues and develop fixes before the product goes liveDevelop and utilize standardized templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specificationsREQUIRED SKILLS:Overall at least 5 years of technical experience in a federal government environment of which:A minimum of 3 years of experience eliciting and tracking functional and non-functional requirements for product configuration and assigning clear acceptance criteriaAt least 1 year of experience managing large data sets ensuring quality accuracy and integrity of data and performing research using tools such as Python and SQLAt least 1 year of experience building Microsoft SharePoint sites and content as an administrator OR building Atlassian Confluence sites and content as an administratorExperience in developing and identifying existing and valuable metrics conducting analysis and identifying gaps in dataExperience working with relational databases and tools to collect and report financial dataExpertise in Microsoft Excel and pivot tablesAbility to adapt to rapidly changing deadlines and tasksStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to decompose requirements into technical development instructionsAbility to work with limited direction to lead define develop and distribute high-quality work products in a timely fashionAbility to act as a liaison between testers developers clients and other stakeholders during all phases of developmentAttention to detail clear communication writing and presentation skillsAbility to present quantitative data to an executive audiencePREFERRED SKILLS:Experience with some or all of the following tools:SQL/MySQL and Dynamic SQLHTML GitHubExperience with SQL optimization using indexes and query optimizationExperience transforming data into dashboard visualizationsExperience developing monitoring and reporting on project schedulesExperience working in all phases of an iterative systems development life-cycleKnowledge of Federal Budget Concepts and terminologyEDUCATION:Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experienceTCG does not discriminate based on race sex color religion national origin age disability caste or veteran status.Our B Corp mission is reflected in our benefits including offerings like health care 401K parental leave adoption assistance financial planning services student loan repayment assistance and training budget.
